MUSIC MINISTRY

MUSIC MINISTRY

Music has always been an integral part of worship.

Choral and instrumental music has an important place in every one of our worship services.  We have a wide variety of musical styles, including traditional hymns, contemporary Christian music, bluegrass, rock, folk, country and more.  Often, soloists or duets share their talents during worship.  We have an organ, baby grand piano, and an electronic keyboard in the sanctuary, and these instruments are used on a regular basis. Some hymns beg to have organ accompaniment; others are meant to be accompanied by piano and maybe a guitar.

Soloists, duets, or small groups are invited to share special music during worship throughout the summer months.

Hand Bell Choir

Our hand bell choir plays in Sunday worship every month or so between Labor Day and Memorial Day.  Performances are always enjoyed, and offer a time for congregants to reflect during worship.  Concerned that you don’t have any musical training?  No problem!  If you can count, you can ring!  We’re always welcoming and eager to teach you.

A love of music is always appreciated, and volunteers are always welcome. Come and share your love of Music!

Join a group of people who take worship seriously but have a lot of fun at the same time.  We are always looking to receive people who love to share their love of music.  A love of  music is always appreciated, and volunteers are always welcome. Opportunities abound for all ages: Bell choir, sanctuary choir, youth choirs. Rewards are few, but occasional words of thanks and cookies….oh yes, and inner joy.
